Membership in the

Kiwanis Club of Lincoln-Cornhusker

Meeting Place:

The Venue Restaurant, 4111 Pioneer Woods Drive; Lincoln, NE
Date: Thursday 12:00 – 1:00 p.m.
  Lunch and meeting

Short business meeting, introductions, recognitions, program of interest. Guests are always welcome.

Several times a year, our club accepts new members into the club. The induction is always "structured", but informal, and a time to get acquainted.

Members are active in two types of volunteer activities. Some activities involve working directly with children to support the goals of our club, while other volunteer activities are used to raise money to support the programs. For example, the Reading Is Fundamental (RIF) program works with kids directly, while the Pancake Breakfast or working concession stands at the Lancaster Event Center raises money to support local programs.

Membership Dues: Annual dues - $100, payable by October 1 or on a semi-annual basis, due October 1 and December 1.

The dues include local, district and international dues, a subscription to the National and District publications and all administrative costs of operating a local club. An activation fee for new members is $55. New members pay annual dues effective October 1 following the new member activation. Members who have previously been in one of the Service Leadership Programs will receive the first two years of membership at no cost.

Membership is open to any adult recommended for membership and approved by the Board of Directors. The Kiwanis Club of Lincoln-Cornhusker has been in existence since 1963. We are very proud that our members include adult men and women of all ages with a wide range of religious, ethnic, and professional backgrounds.
